Figuring Out My Life Purpose

frog-figuring

There is lots of talk about finding your life purpose.

It’s a big question. It’s a deep question. It’s a complicated question.

Maybe your life purpose ‘should be’ something grand. It is after all why you are here, so ‘they’ say.

There’s a temptation I would think for some to come up with a ‘looking good’ life purpose. Or a ‘keeping up with the Joneses’ life purpose. My life purpose is bigger, grander than yours sort-of-thing.

And if you don’t know what your life purpose is, you might feel your life has no purpose – or meaning even. Or that you are missing out. Or that you are not good enough. And this might make you unhappy.

Or maybe you just think this life purpose stuff is all too hard, too deep and meaningful and a little woo woo. You’ll just keep drifting along and see what happens.

I’d like to suggest that your life purpose will actually find you if you ask a different question.

Instead of asking “What is my life purpose?”, try asking “What is the purpose of life?”

And maybe the purpose of life is to live. There’s a novel thought.

To live a HAPPY life.

And if you live a happy life, you will have the biggest impact on those you love and care about.

And your UNIQUE impact is your life purpose and it found you as a result of you living happy life, if you see what I mean.

As you can see I’ve been figuring out the figuring out of my life purpose!
